fa ra ra ra ra

system of a down was the musical guest of this past weekend's saturday night live. i've never liked their music; i'm not into rage-rock or anything akin. but i have to give them mondo credit (my version of "mad props") for dishing out truly interesting songs. and the fusion of metal and a yankovic coiffure - fascinating. i can't get the baseline/chorus out of my head ("la la la la la la la la la").

i am sipping a 40 (actually a 20) of diet coke with splenda. it's good, albeit no diet cherry vanilla (i always say "vanilla" like a chinese person in my head - "vanirra". thanks, a christmas story) dr. pepper.
